About me?
I started working as an assistant at Studio rk when I was a sophmore in high school. I became a licensed Cosmotologist in 1998. I became an owner over 5 years ago. I love hair and people so this has been a very fulfilling career for me!
Education?
I am a Redken Master Specialist. An education career-high has been having the opportunity to train at Redken Fifth Avenue-twice! It was an amazing experiance(s) and I hope to do it again in the near future. I’ve also attended “creative” classes at Redken Symposium in Las Vegas as well as a variety of classes in Tampa, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. Studio rk also offers access to a wide variety of continuing education. A few of my recent favs have been “Mens Trend Styling,” “Editorial Hairdressing” with Kris Sorbie and “The Path to Abundance” with Michael Cole.
What inspires me?
I am personally most inspired by people and the world around us!
Interests?
When Im not in the salon, my interests include traveling, cooking, shopping, running and of course spending time with my family and friends especially my husband, Matt and my daughter Willa
What I most enjoy about being a Studio RK Team Member?
What I enjoy most about being a Studio rk team member is having the freedom to be myself (creativly, professionally and personally). The Studio rk team has a vast array of different personalities, however, we all seem to thrive harmoniously with each other. I think it’s safe to say we are constantly learning from one another and at the end of the day, they are my extended family!
Favorite products?
Moroccan Oil Light-awesome for fine hair and Redken Wax Blast-good for just about anyone!
Service philosophy?
My service philosophy is that your trip to the salon should be a relaxing yet fun experience. Although I closely follow hair “trends”, I believe our best bet is to accentuate our postive attributes. There is always a look that is tailor-made for our specific needs.
