We’ve been mastering our latest method of hair extensions here at the salon and we absolutely love them! We have created the most beautiful looks with these extensions and can’t wait to do more. Not only do they keep your hair looking (and feeling) strong and healthy, you can truly customize the extensions to exactly what you want. They look extremely natural, seamless and blended. So that blonde you’ve been trying to get? Or those long luscious locks you’ve been dreaming of? These could be your game changer. Plus, there are curly and wavy options.

Since the process is quite involved, Stylist, Taylor, and her client, Kaitlin, got together to show you just how it’s done.

Are the extensions sewn in?

Yes. I placed beads on sections of her natural hair then sewed the wefts onto the beads creating three rows. There is no glue, heat or tape involved—which is a really, really good thing. The hair extensions are 100% human hair, meaning they can be washed, dyed, straightened, and curled with heating tools as you normally would.

How long does it take?

It depends on the look you’re going for! Alicia (brunette) has two rows of extensions, Taylor (red) has one row, and Kaitlin (blonde) has 3 rows. The best bet is to come in for a consultation and we can make a game plan together!

Here are Taylor and Kaitlin’s Tips and Tricks

• Brush hair thoroughly multiple times per day. Start at the bottom and work your way up. Section hair if you have multiple rows. We recommend a mini wet brush in your purse – pick one up in the salon!

• Sulfate-Free products can only be used on the hair and those products must include a detangling serum or spray for daily use, shampoo, conditioner, mask, and detangling brush. Kerastate products are perfect for hand tieds!

• Never sleep on wet hair. A loose side braid at night can help avoid tangling.

• Use a conditioner or mask when swimming in the pool or ocean.
